I’ll just put all my updates right here and edit throughout the weekend.
The hurricane made landfall and tore itself up on the mountain, so now we’re just expecting rain and bluster. This is good, because we didn’t do anything to get ready except to buy a lighter and watch Ponyo.
It is muggy and gross, and I’m still down with strep after a failed round of too-weak antibiotics, but the state has shut down, so I don’t have to use up all my sick leave. HA.
Update: storm appears to have passed. Julio is acting like it will miss us, but Iniki did a sharp right-hand turn and flattened Kauai in ’91, so we will watch it suspiciously.
