On the plus side

Easter day bloomed sunny and perfect. We prepared a fantastical feast, everyone looked dashing in their new Easter duds, and Leif earned wild fanfare for crawling for the first time. Our cats were wildly excited to see us upon our return, and their caretakers were excited by the box of Krispy Kremes we bribed them with.

I don't know why these are loading so huge and wonky-like, but you can either click on them or visit my flickr site:

Developmental milestones: besides crawling, Leif can pick up cheerios with two fingers, turn pages in a book, hold out his arms to be picked up, yell to get our attention, say "dadada" when Mike is in the room, and attempt escape when you try to wipe his face or butt. He's a genius! Sookie figured out how to catch her own tail and pull herself over and over in somersaults. Need to catch on video, will be world-famous lolcat owner.

Nice dress! Is that one of your sewing machine projects? Hurray for boobage!

Yes, thanks! I'm pretty pleased with it, even though the hem looks like it was sewn by monkeys. As a reward for holding out through lent, I bought myself a few yards of assorted mermaid fabrics by Heather Ross. Ooooer.
